Keara Weimer

Keara has always had a passion for animals, but specifically horses. At the age of 9, she started working and riding for a local barn in the hill country of New York where she grew up. She developed her skill in Equitation and competed in the local circuits during the summer months and was consistently Reserve Champion and Grand Champion. When she was able to compete with the IEA, (Interscholastic Equestrian Association) she and her team qualified for Nationals 2 years in a row.

Keara always aspires to become more in-tune with what the horse has to teach her. Every horse has a different gait, personality, and level of experience; just like their owners. She learns something new with every new horse, and owner, that walks into her barn and she always does her best to help horse and human to have the connection they need to have a fun and healthy relationship. To further her education in horsemanship, she has traveled to many of the Western and Southern States to observe and participate in clinics taught by local and some world renowned trainers. Keara also completed a summer apprenticeship with Chris Cox when he did the Colorado Summer Experience in Westcliffe, CO in 2012.

Although Keara’s background is mostly English, she has learned to adapt to the western lifestyle, and saddle, to better suit all disciplines in riding. Her interest is to help horse and rider to have the best connection possible so that they can excel in their chosen discipline.
